Charles A. Williams, DVM, FAVD, Dipl. AVDC
Dr. Charles A. Williams earned a DVM from the University of Georgia in 1968 and then moved to Northern Virginia to work at Blue Cross Animal Hospital. He took an interest in veterinary dentistry and is one of the original eight founding fathers of the American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC). The AVDC was established in 1988 and he was the first president of the College. Over time, the dental referrals came pouring in at Blue Cross Animal Hospital, and he found that all of his time was devoted to dentistry. He realized it was time to separate his specialty from his general practice, and the Animal Dental Clinic was formed in 1994.

In his spare time, Dr. Williams spends time with his wife, seven children, four grandchildren, and Labrador Retriever, Dixie.  He also enjoys gardening, fishing, and maintaining a stable of Quarter horses.
